Winnipeg General Strikeout Softball is played on Treaty 1 territory, the original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We encourage all players to reflect on past and ongoing injustices that have occurred on this land, and to work collectively towards reconciliation.
We are a league for adult humans of all genders, body sizes, (dis)abilities, races, sexual orientations, statuses, income levels, and skill levels. Registration fees are on a sliding scale to permit as many people as possible to join. We strive to make any accommodations that are needed in order for everyone to play!
We aim to foster a supportive environment for brand new and experienced softball players to compete in a healthy way.
Collectively, we will build safe and fun space where we can learn together and break away from typical toxic sports culture.
